CAN. CH. GOLDRIVER’S AKIE KEENA A MOI, CD | ||
|
| Keena was the last born from our first litter. Our dream came true the day she was born, because we have always wish to a puppy out of the first quality show bitch we acquired at eight weeks old. Her mom, commonly called Laela was registered under the name of Goldentown Amikal Keena Laela in the hope of having a daughter from her that we would call Keena. This dream became a daily reality that was empathize in the discovery of the great personality of this young bitch. In her youngest days, Keena was stacking by herself. But, at the desired age of six months, in her first dog show, it was the only thing she was doing right. Without food, she was not running and when she was running, she was sidetracking to have a better look at the food. She was awarded with a few reserve winner bitch ribbons in her puppy hood with a comment from the judge in the fact that we were unable to show her properly! To enjoy some games with her brothers and sisters after they left for their new families, we have entered Keena in a puppy class with them. It was for her a weekly party with seven of the ten littermates. She was an easy learner but no way, she wouldn’t let the others play with Nicole, when she was sitting on the floor in the middle of the room because is was now HER mom. This little bitch was placing herself in front of Nicole and barking hard to tell them to go away. She may be a bit possessive, but who’s perfect? She have learned with time to share, but in time to time, she finds her way to be alone for the hugs and attention. After her second anniversary, she went through all the clinics, met the specialists and got all the clearances to become a mom. With 7 points of her Canadian title, with a nice stud in her head, we have decided to still breed and would complete her it afterward. As a mom, she was great. She was dedicated to her seven puppies and is still taking a special care of one of her daughter that is sharing her lives, although she is more than one year. When the puppies were gone, we have decided to satisfy our curiosity and enter her in a reputable obedience school. We had some issues at the beginning with all those new things to learn and the conformation habit to put aside, but the success was very fast due to her natural ability for obedience. Keena is a very bright and attentive bitch. Her nice conformation is highlighted with her vivacious attitude. She has a good side movement that his sometime unbalanced by her habit of trotting with her head being to high. This snobby way of looking at the others got her the nickname of the ‘sphynx’ from her buddies of the obedience class. With her conformation and obedience titles completed, and at five year old, she had the pleasure to have a second honeymoon before going back into more advances obedience titles in Canada as well as in the Unites States. Her characteristic: At lunchtime, she is sitting in front of her table way before her time to be served is arrived. | |
